Typically real estate companies have developed international divisions and marketing programs by creating links to other real estate companies / offices around the world, often organized by third parties (Sotheby's Real Estate, Christies Great Estates, FIBCI, etc.). There are several problems with this old model.

1. The international offices are, like their American counterparts, offices servicing lower and mid-priced clients that have no capability to market to high net-worth individuals interested and capable of international real estate transacting.

2. Real estate agents in most other countries are not well respected and are generally not connected to the high net-worth individuals that we are seeking.

3. The networks generally restrict themselves to the members of their network, often missing the important connection needed to fully expose a property.
